My favourite Pinterest pin of this week is this inspirational manifesto, originally from strikingtruths.com It's pretty much my motto at the moment as I've been moving countries quite a bit! Staying places for no longer than 3 months at a time really helps you take advantage of what you have, while you have it, where you are.
The owl and the pussy-cat went to sea in a beautiful pea green boat. Well here goes! To make sure I get plenty of drawing practice, I hope to bring you a brand new doodle every Wednesday. And here is number one, The Owl & the Pussycat. I hope you like it? This illustration is available in the Homely Creatures shop! You can get my designs as prints, on T-shirts, hoodies or even as an iphone case. Sadly those of you outside of the US will have to be patient as goodies wing their way to you, but the shipping costs are still quite reasonable!
Welcome to Homely Creatures first colour picks post! Emily Mughannam from emdesigninteriors.com has created this stunning teen dream interior. My teens are WELL behind me but would feel right at home hanging in a funky room like this. The neon pinks and yellows jump off the neutral creamy canvas. Hi! My name is Emma. I have spent the last 4 years gathering design inspiration from London and San Francisco and have now returned to Australia with lots of new ideas and ambitions. I design things (on commission or under my own brand) that have a fun, cute or quirky side. With this blog, I would love to share with you the things that make me smile. I hope to settle into a routine of bringing you a new piece of art every week or two, as well as some interior design ideas, DIY and colour inspiration segments. I can’t wait to get started!
