Melbourne Markit

I was lucky enough to visit the Melbourne 'Markit' last weekend, and I thought I'd share a couple of snaps with you as I was so very inspired by all of the talented designers/crafters there are in this great city. I bagged myself a bargain with one of the pastel pink jelly-mould-like hanging planter pots from Angus & Celeste. It seems as though plants are a trend to last for the next while with cute baskets, neon string and scrumptious ceramics containing succulents and the like as far as the eye could see. Speaking of trends also managed to score some AWESOME gold glitter tape from Blank. I love their simple yet adorable range of blank goodies that inspire creativity...

The Village Market Stall Recap

Yesterday we ran our second ever market stall, making the trip to the trendy Village Markets. Despite the 32+ degree heat it was well worth it with busy Gold Coast shoppers braving the scorching sun to do their last minute Christmas shopping. Many thanks to the well-organised TVM team for putting on such a great event. Also much love to all of the great people we met and told us that our stall was cute :) Mr Fox was the star of the day and we got some great interest in our up-cycled crockery as well. Heavenly Harvest Market Stall Recap

This morning Homely Creatures made its first public appearance at a quaint little market called Heavenly Harvest at Kangaroo Point. The weather could not have been more perfect for a morning out (although it really started heating up by mid day) and the views from the market area were beautiful. They even had live music and scrummy coffee, cake and sausage sizzle, so we didn't regret attending the market even before we made any sales! All in all it ended up being quite a good day where our pineapple print cushions and cards were a hit, our keyrings and badges went down a treat and our up-cycled crockery got lots of attention.
