So many things have been going on lately, I thought I might do a little news update. Easter is coming and I've been planning the most epic DIY Easter treat recipe blog post EVER! I've seen other bloggers baking cupcakes in egg shells (see picky below) but I thought I would take it one step further, remove the shell and decorate the cake too. Easy Coffee Cake Recipe

What better to do on a rainy Sunday than bake! I love baking, and what better to bake than a nice creamy coffee cake. I got the recipe from BBC good food (where I get most new recipes) and it turned out great, so I thought I would share. The sponge is lovely and not too dry, especially teamed up with the creamy icing. Cake Ingredients 150g caster sugar 150g butter or margarine 3 eggs 150g self raising flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp hot water 1 1/2 tbsp instant coffee (add more if you like it strong)...

When Monday bites, when the hang-over stings, when I'm feeling sad... I simply remember my favourite things. I love cake! And I'm not too proud to admit it! I love making it, looking at it and eating it. Especially cupcakes and these are cute and small and perfect. Tip: Cake goes very well with tea. I love Frankie, and Australian magazine for creative folk. It brings me so much inspiration, I'm always more motivated to live a creative life after curling up with Frankie and a cup of tea (and probably some cake, see above.)
